Not Martha

15th Birthday

This site is 15 years old today. Thank you, dear readers, for making that time seem like a short and exciting stretch. I know it’s been slow around here lately but I have no plans to go anywhere.

I’d pour you all champagne if I could!

Congratulations! I love that you’re still going strong! (not necessarily frequent, to be true, but strong!)

    To many more years!

Fifteen years is such an amazing achievement – well done! And this site is how we came to meet, which means it’s partially responsible for all the adventures we’ve been on. X

I remember your 10th anniversary giveaway – I won caramels! Truly, congrats on 15 years. I have been here since nearly the beginning and even now each post feels like a little gift. Thank you.

No way, congratulations!! I have been reading from when I lived in CA…moved back to Seattle 3 years ago and am tickled to live in your neck of the woods now. Remember your raincoat post? Totally got one of the Eddie Bauer ones on your recommendations and it is my go-to!

Happy, Happy Day! I’m not sure what portion of those 15 years I have enjoyed, but I think I might remember some of my first visits were on a dial-up connection. ‘Course we kept our dial-up waaaay to long (cheap with small kids to spend our money on!).

Dang, I’m always late in birthday wishes. Happy belated! Longtime fan over this way.

  • 25 Julie // Jun 4, 2016 at 4:39 am

What Stephanie said! You have the best links and I’ve been reading you since 2002ish?
A friend sent me a link to your tutorial on how to make hollow paper mache ballon party favors and I was so impressed with your photography all those years ago. Have been a reader ever since. Also always enjoy your reviews (still have my keen boots you recommended!) and recipes too. Cheers Megan!

Also late to the party, but I love your site! You have been a true internet pioneer and are still going strong!

Congrats! I came here to tell you that because of you, on my trip to Europe recently, I sought out the Kinder Surprise eggs. First saw them in the duty free store in Reykjavik, and the 4-pack was on special to boot! After opening them and sharing them with my teen aged kids, I decided they were the souvenir for my handful of coworkers. Of the ones I’ve seen opened, there have been no duplicates, and possibly not even duplicate themes. The best was an intact (i.e. not to put together) old style VW beetle.

Thanks for getting me on the Kinder bandwagon! I’m hooked and wondering when I’ll be able to get them again. (And I’m wondering how long I’ve been coming to your site – 10 years at least. Sheesh. Thanks for the blogging and linking and ideas. Several years ago I made your felt dahlias for gifts and they were a huge hit!)

Congratulations! You have provided so many great ideas and resources and linked me to other blogs and artists to explore since the mid-2000s. Miss your posts, hope you’ll be back soon!

    Wow…15 years!
    Congrats!
I think I started when you posted about the mini pinatas, and then the ones that you wraps toys and trinkets with streamers into a ball. I had been looking for inspiration to do something fun for my students in Sunday school. My, has time flown :)
