I’m so utterly thrilled to announce this collaboration with Brit+Co to create a DIY kit for my tiny gingerbread houses that sit on the edge of a mug!
The kit includes two cookie cutters that are 3D printed (!!!) and each kit comes with a mug, a pen for decorating or personalizing the mug and recipes for gingerbread and royal icing. May I suggest that the kit would make a wonderful holiday gift? Even if just for yourself?
They’ve created a complete DIY tutorial for baking and assembling the house.
I couldn’t be more pleased, go have a look!

Kay – Thanks! I agree that it is so much easier. I was contemplating learning how to 3D model when this collaboration came up, I couldn’t be happier.

Allison – I agree that the nail polish is great and unfortunately the photo is from Brit+Co so I don’t know the source. I know that next time I’m near nail polish I’ll be checking out the gold glitter options.

Hi Megan! I love this project!
I saw the cute tube cocoa kits on kirtsy and love it but can’t find tubes like that so far… Where did you find yours? Are they the kind intended for favors/etc?

So well deserved!
I remember making them when you taught everyone..
I bought a small cutter that makes a wee home..but this cutter would simplify all my mug toppers. My family loved the the Christmas morning I had them on their coffee mugs.

Love your website and got inspired the other day….was going to try and make these on my own, and then one thing led to another and I ended up with a space needle made of ginger bread. Thanks for the inspiration and awesome blog!

Sarah – those tubes were at Impress (you can get them here). They don’t always have them in stock so I didn’t want to source them in the story.

Monique – I’m so glad! And yes, cutting them out is much much faster than doing it by hand. I’m very pleased.
