I’d like to hear what others who have bought an iPad feel about the device in the months that they have been using it. and About a week ago, I read an iPad buyer’s guide on one of the tech blogs that basically said, “if you’re looking for a productivity tool, buy this model. If you’re looking for an entertainment device, buy the other model.”

Thanks! I finally got myself to an Apple store the other day and played with an iPad. I was impressed with the display, but I still want to read some more about them. Luckily, they were out of stock, so I couldn’t do my usual impulse buy!

Wow, I’ve got to say, that “Hey Baby” video game really struck a cord. I live in the Midwest now, and had almost forgotten about those catcalls I used to endure in NY, but yeah, they’re real and they’re relentless. Thanks for posting!

Re: the Hey Baby link, that was fascinating (especially the comment thread). And while I get cat-called much more back on the East coast, it’s certainly not non-existent here in Seattle. I have a couple of guy friends who claim it doesn’t happen here, but I would say it’s at least a weekly occurence, depending on how much I’m on the street and in certain neighborhoods. (I will also point out that I’m not of any particularly striking attractiveness, either).

There are blogs on the east coast that track street harassment. I’ve heard of the ones in NYC: and DC: and they may be elsewhere…
