Sponsor Thank You – logo

I’d like to thank my third sponsor, Delight is a shopping site that picks out wonderful things and puts a new one up for sale each 24 hours at a very nice price. They also keep a shop of some of the favorites and organize them most conveniently into categories for recipients (like graduation, hostess, the traveler, newborns), as well as by price, guest editor picks and staff favorites. And of course, Tracey’s picks are always wonderful. I’m constantly charmed by what they have to offer. In particular I love their selection of eco-friendly bags, water bottles and cleaning products. Delight carries the lines of my two favorite types of reusable shopping bags, Envirosax and RuMe, both of which I use every day and suspect I’ve talked about a bit too much on this site.

One of the newest lines that Delight is offering is the Alice Supply Co. line of bright and cheerful home goods including a dustpan and brush, plunger and these cute and functional tool boxes, I really dig the wood grain and the bright stripes. If I had one of those I might be able to keep my tools in someplace more visible than the closet underneath our stairs.

Lappers dining trays

To celebrate being a sponsor would like to hold a giveaway for three lucky readers, thank you Delight! They are giving away three Lappers, multi-functional dining trays. From the site: “Lappers are made of a very durable melamine, have indentations for the dishes that are fitted with anti slip silicone mats, both the tray and mats are completely dishwasher safe, they nest into each other, and have large comfortable handles for guys or gals. You can even use the silicone mats as trivets, hot pads, even jar openers!” These sound perfect for what I like to think of as the Let’s Go Outside And Eat Dinner On The Deck season. And, I’ll admit it, when Scott is away for the evening and I’m dining alone I usually do plop myself down in the couch in front of the tv, this tray would make getting there a bit more stylish.

Lappers dining trays

If you’d like to win a Lapper tray simply leave a comment with this post, and so you have something to say mention which style you’d like if you win (Green Trellis, Basketweave, Black & White, Chocolate & Turquoise, and Super Dots) and what you would use the tray for (breakfast in bed perhaps?). You have until Wednesday morning, June 10th at 10 a.m. PST. The winners will be chosen by the cold, unfeeling Random Number Generator, and the usual fine print applies.

Good luck!

How perfect! Those trays are a great design.

  • 2 pam // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:10 am

what an awesome give away! i’d love the Chocolate & Turquoise for some breakfast in bed :)

  • 3 May // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:17 am

Cool! Why didn’t I think of that? The Super Dots would be fun to eat a meal on. I can think of many uses for this Lapper Tray besides just eating on. What fun…

  • 4 Elizabeth // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:19 am

They’re all really pretty, but I have to say I like the green one the best. Lately I’ve been on a green kick – I blame the long dark Pittsburgh winters!

And I would probably use it for my evening snacks…I have bad habit of strangely timed or simply nonexistent meals (grad school, work, etc.) which usually leaves me grabbing something from the fridge to take to munch on while I’m catching up with email or blogs before bed. It would be nice to have something to keep it from spilling all over (and the jar opening thing is just a bonus!).

  • 5 heather // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:21 am

I love the green lattice one! I love trays but would use this one to carry my dinner from the kitchen to the patio with ease.

  • 6 Kate B. // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:21 am

i like the green trellis design!
i usually feed my 9 month old daughter and then eat while she plays, so i’d use this to more comfortably eat on the couch.

  • 7 Becky // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:26 am

I love the Chocolate/Turquoise one. I’d use it to have my morning coffee & cereal on the porch all summer!

  • 8 Tae // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:27 am

I like the chocolate and turquoise one, myself. I’d use it for eating dinner on the couch, while I’m watching British Sci-Fi shows with my husband!

  • 9 Linda J // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:27 am

I’m with everyone else right now – I’d like the green one! I would use it to surprise my awesome boyfriend with the most delicious breakfast in bed!

  • 10 Christie // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:29 am

  • 11 nk // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:32 am

  • 14 Kate // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:38 am

  • 15 Jenn // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:38 am

Very Cool trays. I love They have the best stuff !

  • 16 Christy // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:40 am

I like the super dots tray! Very cute! My husband and I eat dinner in front of the TV (like old people). I’d use it to keep my clothes from looking like I’m an old person as well!

  • 17 sarah // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:41 am

I like Super Dots, although the green one is nice too! Definitely would use this on those (frequent) nights eating dinner while sitting on the couch. It would be a lot nicer to use the tray instead of hunching over the low coffee table with my plate!

  • 18 Rose // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:46 am

Those are really cute. I’m fond of super dots myself.

  • 19 Nia // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:47 am

I love Delight and all of the products I’ve purchased. I really like the floral brown pattern of the tray.

  • 20 Donna // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:51 am

The chocolate and turquoise is sooo pretty.Great idea for a tray!

  • 21 Erin // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:52 am

What a great site! I like sites that I can check each day for new fun things! I’m a fan of the Chocolate & Turquoise Lapper Tray BTW! Thanks!!!

  • 22 Amanda H // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:53 am

I’m with Sarah, it would be nice to use these instead of hunching over the coffee table. They would also be nice for dinner/evening snack in bed catching up on the tivo. I always end up with crumbs in the bed! Very naughty, I know. I like the Super Dots, black and white (personally I love the green, but the rest of the family wouldn’t).

  • 23 JD // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:53 am

Super dots for breakfast in bed! Whee!

  • 24 noelle // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:54 am

  • 26 Kelly Solesbee // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:58 am

I would love any of these beautiful designs, but green trellis is my favorite.

  • 27 catherine // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:59 am

Wow. What a cool idea to have anti-slip mats on your lap tray! They are all lovely, but “green trellis” really says “summer,” don’t ya think?

  • 28 Ann // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:03 am

Lovely. We use trays all the time. I have thrown out many as they just dont hold up. Bet these would be wonderful.

  • 29 Barbara // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:05 am

Hey. Long time reader, first time poster! Your blog opened up the “world of blogging” for me! Thanks! I happen to love these trays! One would be PERFECT for my elderly mom who insists on carrying her dishes across her room to the comfy chair…instead of eating at the table! All the designs are wonderful. I’d be happy with any one of them! Thanks again!

  • 30 jen // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:05 am

Whoo me!!! I’d love one! Then I wouldn’t spill stuff with the toddlers running around/through me!

  • 31 shelley // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:08 am

I love the green one. It is perfect for feeding a sick kid lunch in the living room. Or for serving summer snacks and lemonade outside on the deck.

  • 32 TrishH // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:09 am

    Those are so Cute!

    The Green Trellis is pretty.

  • 33 Chris C // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:11 am

Ooh, such a great idea. I would use one of these for, um, eating burritos in bed. Which I do far, far too often :-) (my bedroom is the only place the internet works and I don’t have a TV — if I want to watch TV while I eat, it has to be there!)

If I won, I’d love the green lattice-y looking one :-)

  • 34 Brandi // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:14 am

Oooh – such a great idea! I love Basketweave.

I’d use it to entice my hubby into making me breakfast in bed. Seriously, I think he doesn’t do it because we don’t have a nice tray ;)

  • 35 Nanna // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:15 am

Oh I love the super dots and I would use it for breakfast in bed and snacks in front of the tv!

  • 36 tammy b // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:15 am

oooo, i ADORE and have gotten several things from them including my beloved rume bags. i am a dot gal, so super dot for me….as for usage? i say picnic lunches with the girls!

  • 37 Libby // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:16 am

superdots for coffee and tea for company please!

  • 38 Nic // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:18 am

They are super cute and very functionnal.

  • 40 Mari // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:22 am

  • 41 Lorri // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:30 am

Love Superdots. Haven’t been on for awhile, thanks for reminding me how nice their shop is. And thanks for offering the tray giveaway.

  • 42 Gilly // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:31 am

The basketweave would be perfect for my bad habit of eating while reading in bed. Heck with breakfast, dinner in bed is even better!

  • 43 Amy // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:33 am

Oh, yes, please! I want one for eating in bed!

  • 44 Natalie Mikolajczak // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:34 am

me likes the chocolate and turquoise… tres cute!

  • 45 anne // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:34 am

I love the Super Dots, or B+W. really, any of them! I need a tray like this so badly!

  • 46 Faith // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:36 am

These are super cute. I’d use the green one for eating soup on the couch when I have a cold. I usually end up setting my bowel on a large book but I think this would work better!

  • 47 Jinxy // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:37 am

I like the super dots and I think it will com in handy this summer for taking lunch outside.

  • 48 Heather Fairbanks // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:38 am

I’d like to try any of them! If I have to choose, B&W would be great. I love to eat in bed or on the couch, and it usually ends in disaster – would love to try these out!

  • 49 Pamela // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:42 am

Love the green trellis! I eat alone many evenings, and the loveseat is my preferred dining location!

  • 50 Rachel // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:43 am

I love all of them. Despite having a very functional kitchen table, I’m pretty sure that 90% of the time I eat in the living room. It would definitely be helpful to have a tray instead!

  • 51 Elle // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:45 am

Oh my, those are so cool! I just love Delight, and seeing all the neat things they find. I would LOVE to use the Super Dots tray for dining al fresco in the yard on these lovely early summer nights. Or snuggling up on the couch with a plate of pasta during the cold Michigan winters. The uses are endless!

  • 52 coleen // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:46 am

We always eat on the sofa! What a delite is! I will do a bunch of Christmas shopping there!
Thanks for not helping my budget!

  • 53 Trisha // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:47 am

Love and love these (thanks for the chance to win!). I think the green trellis is my fave, so springy! Since I eat most of my meals on the couch, being a single girl, I could use this.

  • 54 Lauren // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:47 am

I love the green!! I would pass it along to my elderly mom, who loves to eat dinner while watching the news. This would make getting from the kitchen to the sofa with her plate and glass a breeze!!! Thanks!

  • 55 Katie // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:49 am

Oh wow they are all so cute! I like them all, but the flower one or the dots are definitely my favs!!

  • 56 Asia // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:51 am

    wonderful site, thanks for sharing!
I have to say I love the blue/turq and brown one.

  • 57 Lane // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:51 am

Oooooo Green Lattice *drools*. This tray would become the staple of the “breakfast in bed” ritual my fiance and I have. He has a rough work week (maintainance calls at 4 am) or I have a rough week (tons of papers due) then they get breakfast in bed on Sunday. One of these trays would be so much nicer than using a cookie sheet lol

  • 58 conny // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:52 am

What a fantastic idea! I’d love to treat my husband to breakfast in bed with the green trellis tray!

  • 59 Georgia // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:53 am

Ooooh – Delightful! Love the colors as well! I’m in for this contest! Cross my fingers…

  • 60 nap // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:59 am

I love the super dots tray! I would use it all the time for eating breakfast in bed!

  • 61 Theresa // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:00 am

I love the green trellis one! My husband and I were just talking the other day about something to make eating not at the table a little easier.

  • 62 Ann // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:00 am

Those are great! One of us almost always eats on the couch, but breakfast in bed sounds lovely. I like the dots and the green trellis – the green would go with our new couch, getting delivered tomorrow!

  • 63 Jess // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:01 am

I heart delight and these awesome trays! I do not have a tray. It’s starting to feel like a necessity. And it’s Green Trellis all the way!

  • 64 Lisa // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:01 am

These are so cute! And useful for someone as clumsy as me!

  • 65 Danielle // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:03 am

    Love your blog!

    Green :)

  • 66 tracey // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:03 am

I love these- the black and white is my fave!

  • 67 Kate // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:04 am

We eat out on the patio all the time, with the plates in our laps. Those trays would be ideal.

  • 68 Lisa N // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:06 am

They are all lovely, but I love the green lattice one the best!

  • 69 Yasmine // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:07 am

I love them all! But if I had to choose, I’d pick green trellis!

  • 70 Aine // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:08 am

My favorites are the Green Trellis and the dots, but I’d love any of them. I’d send it to college with my daughter this fall — she’ll be a freshman, and it would be perfect for snacks or small meals in her dorm room!

  • 71 Bonney // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:10 am

Love the chocolate and turquoise!! I would love to have one for Sunday tea in bed with the newspaper. I remember my mom serving breakfast in bed on a special tray when one of us kids was home sick. This tray would be perfect!!

  • 72 Hava // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:11 am

The green trellis one wants to be mine, for sure! :)

  • 73 greta // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:13 am

i’m having a hard time picking one! probably either green trellis or super dots. i’d use it to try to get my husband to bring me breakfast in bed. And when that failed, i’d probably use it to get my own breakfast in bed. :)

  • 74 Julie // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:14 am

I love the Chocolate & Turquoise ones. The man and I are too lazy to clean off the dining room table so they would be great for eating on the couch.

  • 75 Millie // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:15 am

Oh the green one would be perfect for eating cookies and milk in bed! or pancake breakfasts!!

  • 76 Rachel // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:16 am

I like the green trellis. I have been thinking of finding a washable tray to set drinks on while sitting on the rug playing games.

  • 77 Veronica // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:16 am

I like the green trellis one. I’d use it for eating in front of the TV.

  • 78 Miki // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:18 am

awesome! I would love the green trellis! Green is my fav color :).

  • 79 Dana // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:24 am

Ooooh Green Trellis for leisurely cozy couch breakfasts in my pj’s. A girl can dream :)

  • 80 Isabelle // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:27 am

These are so pretty ! The superdots is my favorite. It would be perfect for dinner in front of the TV or a late night snack. It would be great too for bringing a pitcher of lemonade outside (in the hole for the dinner plate).

  • 81 Sarah // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:28 am

Ooo… love the green (basketweave?) I love having lunch in the backyard during the summer.

  • 82 Tina // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:29 am

    Green Trellis! I love it!
This would be perfect for my little boy.

  • 83 Sarah // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:30 am

I LOVE the dots! so cheery. I would probably end up just using the tray on the nights I decide to treat myself to dinner in bed. But it would have been useful to have a couple of yrs ago when I had the flu so badly I could barely sit up (I’ve gotten flu shots since so hopefully that never happens again :)).

  • 84 Carrie at Rhubarb Sky // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:30 am

My 4 year old likes to help make breakfast in bed for me and my husband (with the other parent’s help of course). It’s always a major deal for her to try and carry any of the food up to us. These would be so awesome for that! I love the green trellis design.

  • 85 Jennifer // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:31 am

I love the green trellis one!

  • 86 Sarah (craft n clutter) // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:33 am

Ok, I admit that I have one of these in my house. I bought it as a birthday present for my husband, so when I actually let him eat in front of the tv, I wouldn’t have to dog him about towels, etc.

But I’d really love for myself too. Green Trellis, please!

  • 87 Jo // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:35 am

Superdots please! So fun – I am always balancing a cup of coffee Sunday AM. This would be perfect.

  • 88 julie // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:35 am

Love the dots one. Would use it for TV movie night told hold popcorn and beverages. Might save my couch from another spill!

  • 89 Delica // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:35 am

This would be great for lounging on my Brooklyn deck (a.k.a. fire escape)- super dots, please.

  • 90 Andrea // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:37 am

I would allow the little ones to stylishly use the chocolate and turqoise ones when they get to eat in front of the TV for certain occasions. I really love that the silicone mats “grip” and would help avoid spillage!

  • 91 Tiffany // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:37 am

Oh the Chocolate and Turquoise is awesome!

  • 92 Allison // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:41 am

I’d go for the super dots! Breakfast in bed would be great but… it would probably get more use by my daughter acting as “meal helper” as she sets the table and brings food out from the kitchen.

  • 93 Erika // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:41 am

Ooooh, I like them all! If I win, or WHEN i win (hee) I will chose then!

  • 94 Fae // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:41 am

    Basketweave! It’s the retro-y-est! :D

  • 95 Marissa // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:42 am

OOH! Just what I need! I keep trying to balance dishes, and something is going to go terribly wrong someday.

I think I like the chocolate and turquoise best of all!

  • 96 samk // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:42 am

    Love these!

  • 97 Beth // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:43 am

Awesome – functional and lovely to look at always a winning combo!

  • 98 stacy // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:44 am

The green is great! What a fun idea!

  • 99 Anna // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:45 am

Oh, they’re all really very cute! I would love to have one for the supposed breakfast in bed I might enjoy post-birth with baby #2. Or for Father’s Day.

  • 100 Stacey Ball // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:46 am

Those are fantastic! I may have to buy some if I don’t win. I like the green trellis.

  • 101 Keli // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:49 am

I love the green trellis Lapper. It would be the perfect compliment to an outdoors dinner party!

  • 102 Kris // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:49 am

These are awesome! As a member of the clumsy club I love the indented and slip free areas. I think they’re all pretty but the basket weave’s retro look appeals to me. I’d use the tray for lunch and when not eating I’d use it for my bead projects. The beads will sit nicely in the indented areas and my tools will fit on the main part of the tray. Even if I don’t win I may buy one (or two!).

  • 103 Andi // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:50 am

I’d choose super dots. It would be great for my husband, he spills everything!

  • 104 Michelle // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:52 am

OOh! this would be perfect for my lap while I eat my meals on my couch/dining room. :) I live in NYC and my couch is also my dining area. Lappers are perfect for small living!

  • 105 Erin // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:53 am

Oooh I love the green basketweave!

  • 106 Jackie // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:54 am

Green trellis for sure, and I would use it to sit in my back yard eating my own fresh tomatoes sliced with salt and balsamic.

  • 107 Misty // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:57 am

I like the bright happiness that is the green trellis design. And we usually eat on the couch, so it would probably get daily use at my house!

  • 108 Anita // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:58 am

Why thank you! I love the superdots one, it’s my favorite!!

  • 109 Frances // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:00 am

The woodgrain would be perfect for my husband. He’s so fifties and is really comfortable eating off of a tray and I like these trays better than a T.V. tray. SO CUTE!
    Pick Me!

  • 110 Laura // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:00 am

Green or super dots– like just about everyone else! Those are gorgeous. I’d use them for meals in front of tv, cocktail serving, and for feeding the kid who stubbornly doesn’t want to get in his chair when I’m not up for a fight.

  • 111 Sarah S // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:01 am

Oh Those are so cute, what a great idea. i ABSOLUTELY love the polka dots one.

  • 112 Dusie // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:02 am

I would love a SUPER DOTS!

  • 113 Jess // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:04 am

    Congrats on the sponsor, Megan!

  • 114 Micki // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:08 am

Green Trellis, please! And thank you!

  • 115 leanne // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:10 am

Ooh… Chocolate & Turquiose! I would totally use this as a tv dinner tray. I’d be able to carry everything at once, which means the dogs would have no chance stealing unattended food while I run to the kitchen for a glass of water!

  • 116 Sandra // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:11 am

You are such a enabler! Har har. I think green trellis is my favorite.

  • 117 Natalie // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:12 am

I like them all, but probably the green one the best! I live alone in a studio apartment and so I always end up eating dinner on couch/bed or at my desk in front of the computer. Very handy.

  • 118 Kathy // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:13 am

Okay, I know this sounds contrived, but I’ve been looking for a dining tray solution for a while now! The ones I have are not great, and I use a piece of non-slip drawer liner to keep things from sliding around. Not the greatest look around. These are very cool looking. I’m partial to the green trellis, but the basket weave would probably work in my home better. Thanks for the info and giveaway!

  • 119 Sarah // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:14 am

Ooh the green trellis and super dots are lovely! These would be perfect for dinner, since my hubs and I rarely eat at our table!

  • 120 Mary // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:14 am

Black and white for late night snacks outside in the garden! So cute, thanks for sharing.

  • 121 Betty // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:16 am

Yeah for the chocolate lapper – hot chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, hazleelnuts in chocolate, chocolate cake, chocolate milk, chocolate ice cream, anything chocolate would be better on the chocolate lapper!

  • 122 Joceline // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:16 am

Ooh! I love Super Dots, and I would use it for when my husband and I share late night snacks (after the kids are in bed) while watching a movie!

  • 123 michelle f // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:16 am

Oh, man. Now I need to buy all of these!
The green probably matches my house the best, and I’m having ideas of my son bringing me breakfast in bed! The silicone mat means that he probably wouldn’t spill my precious tea on the way. I also think these would be great for our summer outdoor dinners.

  • 124 Ellen // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:18 am

I’m leaning toward the Black and White.

  • 125 Marianne // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:21 am

Whoooaaaaaahhhh SUPER DOTS! Even the dullest looking food would look exciting on a super dots tray. Take that, mac and cheese.

  • 126 Kim // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:21 am

Love the green trellis! I would use this for breakfast in bed…any special occasion in our house (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) warrants breakfast in bed and we don’t have a good tray for it. This would be perfect!

  • 127 Steph // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:22 am

I love the Chocolate and turquoise one. It would make breakfast in bed even yummier!

  • 128 Adrianna // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:23 am

Oooh, I’m totally for Super Dots. Go big or go home! I would use it during my frequent meals on the couch (lacking a kitchen table, ahem).

  • 129 Erin // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:24 am

The chocolate and turquoise on is gorgeous! I’d use it for lazy home alone dinners in front of the tv.

  • 130 Malinda // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:26 am

oo – these are neat! I would love a super dots tray – not just for meals but for taking my beading and other crafts around the apartment and out of dog snout range.

  • 131 Jenny // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:27 am

Green Trellis would be a nice little pick me up any time of day – nice for breakfast or dinner!

  • 132 terra // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:28 am

Wow, how I’d love to sneak the green trellis one with late night snacks onto the back porch…for a little quiet time away from my husband & son!

  • 133 Kate // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:31 am

Oooo love the baskeweave! Perfect for Mr. Boyfriend to bring me breakfast in bed…

Oooh.. Black and White–they’d be great in our backyard that was just newly-planted with grass! :)

  • 143 Chia // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:51 am

Green Trellis! I would love to use it on my side table to stack up my mail.

  • 144 Ann // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:54 am

I wanted these the minutes I saw them at Delight! They are so cute & practical. I love the green trellis and can see myself using it Lazy, Still in my PJ’s on Saturday, brunch!

  • 145 Sara // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:54 am

Basketweave, please! These would be great for the kids who visit my house.

  • 146 Amy // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:54 am

How awesome are these? Even if I don’t win…which I seriously doubt I will, I expect to be making a purchase in the near future!!

All of them look pretty cool, but the choc./turq, the bright green, and the basket weave definitely are my favs.

PS – JUST squeaked in under the deadline!!

  • 147 Trish T. // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:56 am

I love the super dots! I would use this to carry our dinners from the dining room to in front of the sofa, which doesn’t sound difficult but is incredibly so if you consider that we have a pesky dog and two very affectionate cats.

  • 148 Sarah // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:00 am

Ooh, I’d love the Green Trellis Lapper tray. How cool! We don’t have a proper dining room, and our “dining” table is actually more of a repository for the laptop, camera, paperwork, mail, receipts, and other assorted junk, so we eat a lot of our dinners on the couch. The Lapper would definitely make that scenario seem a bit cooler.

  • 149 Elise // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:01 am

Dishwasher safe, even. Excellent. I like the basketweave.

  • 150 Amy // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:02 am

  • 154 Dogmom // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:08 am

I think these trays are really cool. I love the chocolate/turquoise one, basketweave design. I love how you thank your sponsors. More gratitude is a wonderful thing!

  • 155 Daffodil Campbell // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:08 am

Well, I could say I was going to use it for breakfast in bed. Or snacks out on the porch. But here’s what is really going to hapen with it. My kids will fight over it, and the daily victor will use it’s surface to sort loose change or buttons or little beads or plastic “gems”. And every time I will go to use it, it’s surface will be in use, and it will be the most beloved and hotly contested item in our little house. I won’t pick a pattern, because I don’t want to spoil the surprise.

  • 156 dawn // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:08 am

Green trellis for me! I would use this to brighten up my cube at work. I eat breakfast and lunch a lot at work and this would be perfect for carrying it to my desk from the cafeteria (and would make me stop using the cafeteria’s disposable trays!).

Megan- you totally got me hooked on delight when you first posted about it ages ago. I love seeing the delight of the day!

  • 157 Dianne // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:09 am

Love the green trellis tray. Thanks so much for featuring these great trays!

  • 158 Hana K. // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:13 am

I can’t really tell which is which for Basketweave and Chocolate&Turquoise but I like them all. I would definitely use to hold my stuff while watching TV.

  • 159 Melissa // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:13 am

These are great! I love the Super Dots. Would come in handy for those times I spend clunking down in front of the TV… :)

  • 160 Carla // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:13 am

If I won I would love to have the chocolate & turquoise design, it would go perfectly with my kitchen colors!

I would use this tray for relaxing breakfast in bed with my fiance. With wedding-planning and house-hunting, we need to grab all of the relaxing moments we can!

  • 161 Ketra // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:18 am

oh, the green trellis, please! Love.

    green trellis!

  • 164 Kristine // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:19 am

  • 170 Liz // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:36 am

Oh, I love them all! I’d think they’d make enjoying a summer breakfast outside lovelier.

  • 171 kickpleat // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:38 am

I would choose the Green Trellis one since it looks so fresh!

  • 172 Alena // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:38 am

Adorable! I’d love the Super Dots one, for all the times my BF and I eat dinner in our giant beanbag chair while watching movies…

  • 173 Erisagal // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:41 am

All these trays are great, but my pick would be super dots.

  • 174 Elaine // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:43 am

Super dots would be my pick – and these would solve the problem of wanting to eat in the back yard but not having a table yet (but we do have an awesome fire pit!).

  • 175 Lois // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:43 am

Gorgeous and great idea! Green trellis would be the one for me.

  • 176 Elissa // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:45 am

What a great idea! I’d love it!

  • 177 Kristy // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:51 am

I like the super dots! I would definitely use it for breakfast in bed as well as for parties, eating in the living room, and most anywhere else where I can wander with it . . .

  • 178 tara // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:54 am

I like the green trellis. I have 8 month old twins so I can rarely eat properly at the dinner table — I would use it to balance my lunch on my lap while I’m watching them in their Exersaucers.

  • 179 GP // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:58 am

Green is the only way to go!

  • 180 Sarah // Jun 3, 2009 at 10:58 am

  • 184 Renee // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:03 am

    Chocolate and turquoise sounds lovely!

  • 185 fert // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:09 am

green trellis, green trellis!! please, random number generator, generate for me!

  • 186 miriam // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:14 am

Love them all, but I have a soft spot for the basketweave. It just might keep my teenager’s food in one place…rather than all over the house?

  • 187 Julie // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:15 am

I’m not sure I need something that will make it easier for me to eat dinner in front of the TV but this would just do the trick, wouldn’t it? Superdots — perfect for microwave popcorn and diet Coke.

  • 188 Steph // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:18 am

I’d choose the chocolate and turquoise.

  • 189 Karen // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:22 am

    Would love one of these!

  • 190 Mimi // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:24 am

THis would be perfect for my kid. I would love one in super dots

  • 191 Laurie // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:29 am

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE serving trays! What a genius idea to add the grip stuff. :)

  • 192 Giuliana V // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:34 am

While I love the idea of breakfast in bed, it is more likely that I would use this for dinner on the couch =) My favorite one is the green trellis one.

  • 193 Purnima // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:35 am

I would love the beautiful Green Trellis design – it would be perfect in my green bedroom. Thank you for this contest.

  • 194 Karen // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:38 am

Super Dots, of course! (I like the multicolored stripe one too, but I don’t see that option listed.)

  • 195 Kristin A. // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:38 am

I love them all! The one I really like isn’t available though – the colorful swervy lines. So my second pick would be the super dots or green trellis.

  • 196 jenn // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:42 am

chocolate and turquoise. breakfast in bed would be divine, but realistically i would probably use it for dinner on the couch.

  • 197 Shari // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:48 am

Superdot, please! So I can pretend to be classier than I am eating on the sofa every night.

  • 198 Rebecca // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:49 am

I love the Green Trellis! These are fantastic. Perfect for bringing food to a desk or the couch…especially hot things!

  • 199 Ali // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:52 am

Cute! I like the green trellis. I would use it when I’m too lazy to go over to the table I guess!

  • 200 Tiffany // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:52 am

I think the Green Trellis is gorg. This is sort of embarrassing, but I’d probably use it for couch mirrors, seeing as how I live with boys in their 20’s and their priorities do not include a dining table.

  • 201 Rebecca // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:53 am

Oooh! This klutzy cook definitely needs one of these. I like Super Dots!

  • 202 Beth // Jun 3, 2009 at 11:58 am

The green trellis ones are so cute! My roommate and I have moved our tv onto the back porch, so that we can sit outside and watch baseball games (and do puzzles during the boring games) all through dinner. Living in new england, it’s so nice to take advantage of this time between the snow and the heat.

  • 203 Suzanne // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:00 pm

Oh! I’d love the multi-dot. I would totally use this to snarf down my dinner in the living room while my baby plays on the floor.

  • 204 Lindsay // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:03 pm

The green trellis design is just BEGGING to be used for a dinner on the couch! :)

  • 205 Olivia // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:04 pm

Ooh, the super dots are so cute! Love it!

  • 206 Adrienne Lapp // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:05 pm

As a “Lapp”, I think it would be prudent to enter this drawing. ;) Chocolate & turquoise would be my colour scheme of choice!

  • 207 Carrie // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:06 pm

Chocolate and turquoise would be used at least twice daily for lunch and dinner as I work from home.
Salads of every kind would grace its surface.

  • 208 stephanie s // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:07 pm

oh glee these are super cute! i don’t have a yard, so i don’t have a picnic table and this would help remedy the table situation for those days when i grill dinner outside! super dots is my favorite!

  • 209 Kristina // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:09 pm

I love Delight! I go there along with woot every day.

  • 210 Swellanor // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:09 pm

Thanks for providing a conversation starter so I don’t fall back on “pick me, pick me!”

I’d like the superdots tray, and me and my boyfriend would use it to serve each other dinner on the couch while watching a movie, which we now do tray-free when one of us has had a trying or especially tiring day at work. Imagine how much more cozy it would be to have your loved one serve you comfort food on a tray with cheerful dots!

  • 211 Katherine L // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:11 pm

Oooh, green trellis or black and white! Since I live in a dorm, the kitchen table currently supports the TV. I’d use the tray to keep from spilling food all over myself!

  • 212 Valerie // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:12 pm

I would love the Superdots and I would use it for eating in front of the TV (shameful!).

  • 213 mona // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:12 pm

  • 214 Twyla // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:15 pm

I like the super dots. It’s so colorful. I would use it for eating outside.

  • 215 Genna // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:17 pm

This is such a practical product for varying ages as the silicone mat and indentation helps prevent slippage, while providing a modern look.

Any who, I love the green trellis design. The tray would be perfect for snacks in bed.

  • 216 melly // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:22 pm

I would totally love the green trellis. Or the Super Dots. :D
I’m a server, so I’m rarely home for actual on time meals. I usually just grab something from the kitchen and TV it. Terrible habit, I know. Easier to manage with a nifty tray to hold things :D

  • 217 Elis // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:22 pm

Oooh, pretty! Is the gold one in back the basketweave? I like that a lot, but I think I’d have to go for the green trellis. I’d definitely use it to help myself not spill stuff while I was grilling out on our porch — I’m always balancing a bowl of something raw and a jar of sauce, and some sticky grip would help keep spillage to a minimum!

  • 218 sarah // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:23 pm

i love the superdots, and i would have to say i would use it for snacks near the pool on the hot nights we’re starting to have…

Oh, I want the Super Dots one. This looks wonderful for lunch outside during the summer.

  • 221 Dava // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:32 pm

    please, please, please???

  • 226 lisa // Jun 3, 2009 at 12:50 pm

please, please, please??? i would be fine with any of the colors and would use it to replace the awful lap desk i use to eat dinner (since our home is too small for a dining room table).

  • 229 Margaret // Jun 3, 2009 at 1:09 pm

I have a tray something like these now (from Ibride) that I love, but I have to admit the addition of the silicone bits would really help to keep everything from sliding around. Would love to have one!

  • 233 stacy // Jun 3, 2009 at 1:20 pm

I really need this – well, I take that back, my daughter really needs this. Even at 12 she still can’t manage a lap tray! Personally, I’d go for the B&W version.

  • 234 Emma // Jun 3, 2009 at 1:22 pm

Swoon! You’re right–perfect for outside dining. I love the green trellis, too.

  • 235 Karan // Jun 3, 2009 at 1:31 pm

  • 236 Jessica // Jun 3, 2009 at 1:37 pm

How neat! We have one from Ikea that we use but it has such a slick surface, it makes for a precarious walk upstairs for breakfast in bed. These would be perfect!

  • 237 Nana // Jun 3, 2009 at 1:39 pm

Me, me, me…please! While I’m partial to black-and-white, any would enhance my life. Breakfast on a comfy chair, without having to lean over the coffee table to eat. Yum!

    Green for me!

My ideal breakfast in bed is a plate of homemade belgian waffles, topped with berries and freshly whipped cream. And some of my mom’s famous pressed coffee. And maybe a bud vase with a happy little daisy. :)

  • 253 Kate // Jun 3, 2009 at 2:38 pm

    Super dots!

  • 254 Teresa // Jun 3, 2009 at 2:47 pm

Oooh, I love that one with the multi-colored swirls. What’s it called? In addition to all of its other obvious uses, I’d use mine for bringing crafting supplies into the living room and keeping them together.

  • 255 Katie // Jun 3, 2009 at 2:47 pm

These are great! While I would love to eat supper at the table with my kids and my husband, he and I usually end up eating on the couch because in our tiny little house, his hockey equipment gets stored under the dining room table for seven or eight months out of the year. I’d use the black and white one to better balance my meal while I eat away from the stinky equipment. :)

I like the green trellis one! And, I’ll just come clean: we don’t own a TV but we eat dinner on the couch while watching Colbert reruns on hulu pretty much every night. These trays would class this habit right up.

  • 295 DawnH // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:31 pm

The green and white basketweave would spend each Saturday and Sunday morning festooned with a delicious home made breakfast, cup of fresh coffee with organic half and half, glass of high pulp juice and a copy of the St. Pete Times. It will join me on the patio in my backyard, surrounded by happy lizards, squirrels, one red cardinal and the occasional black racer snake. Life is good.

  • 296 ansley // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:33 pm

    Ooh these are gorgeous!

  • 297 DawnH // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:33 pm

I misspoke. Not basketweave, trellis. Sorry.

  • 298 ansley // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:37 pm

My kitchen is upstairs while the TV & dining area is downstairs. The green trellis lapper would be perfect!

  • 299 Sidra // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:53 pm

Ooo, tough choices. I’m going to have to go with the Black and White. I actually prefer the Super Dots, but my kitchen is cow themed, so the Black and White will fit in better.

I’d use them for pretty much every meal. We hardly use the dining room table in my apartment, everyone prefers to use the living room for eating instead (which is why I have a coffee table that has more surface area than the dining room table, haha). We do this because it’s cozier and invites more of a family and friends setting. We sometimes watch TV, or use laptops, or just hang out on the couches and these trays would be nice for the transporting and avoiding spills departments.

Although now that I’ve headed over to their website to look at the options, the Damask Lap Desk is looking mighty inviting…

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  • 300 Dog-Eared // Jun 3, 2009 at 6:59 pm

i’d use the basketweave tray for everything!

  • 309 Gale Reeves // Jun 3, 2009 at 7:41 pm

I would use the Chocolate & Turquoise tray to eat dinner on my couch (as usual!) Currently, I just hold my plate. Thanks for the give away.

  • 310 Sasha // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:18 pm

The favorite meal on a tray in our house is when the kids get to have “dinner in bed” in mom & dad’s bed– usually on nights when dad is working late and while watching a video. And anything that prevents little girls dumping their dinner in my bed would be so awesome. I love them all but if I had to pick it would be the chocolate & turquoise.

  • 311 Katie // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:27 pm

These are so smart! We eat a LOT of meals in our living room on the couch ( hey, we are in college!) so the green one would be perfect for this clumsy blogger. Perhaps it would even inspire my significant other to try the old breakfast in bed trick.

  • 312 Kelley // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:49 pm

These would be great for my kids – especially the messy girl. Why she insists on eating in all the “no eating” zones is beyond me.
And, when they’ve gone to bed, I can load it up with my late night snacks (all eaten in the “no eating” zone, of course).

  • 313 mai // Jun 3, 2009 at 8:57 pm

ooh how useful. count me in!

  • 314 Naomi // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:02 pm

Woo-hoo! Lappers would be perfect for when my husband returns from his 10 day out-of-cell-phone-range camping trip and wants to watch the kids all day and bring food up to me in bed…

I like the floral best but I think it’s out of stock, so I would go with basketweave!

  • 315 Kira // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:04 pm

I absolutely love these trays. They’re perfect for someone as clumsy as me. I’s choose the trellis style!

  • 316 Jessica P. // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:19 pm

Green Please! I’d use them for breakfast in bed, of course!

  • 318 Julie // Jun 3, 2009 at 9:29 pm

White, Chocolate and Turquoise looks intriguing I must say.

  • 349 Pearl // Jun 4, 2009 at 9:01 am

Chocolate & Turquoise, definitely. Family dinners for us consist of half on the couch, half standing around the kitchen island (we don’t do formal)- with the tray, I’d have a good spot anywhere.

  • 356 Jennifer // Jun 4, 2009 at 10:54 am

Chocolate and turquoise, all the way. I might use it for a backyard snack, when I’m trying to hide from the ruckus of our house. I’d definitely enjoy breakfast in bed, though my partner would just toss me a cold pop-tart, likely….

  • 357 Katie // Jun 4, 2009 at 10:56 am

  • 393 elle // Jun 5, 2009 at 4:14 am

i love the green trellis one.
being a student, this would be great for snacks on the couch or I could put my laptop on it so that it doesnt get too hot on my lap! love the prints!

  • 394 Elsa // Jun 5, 2009 at 5:18 am

Oh, what a simple solution! I would use the Lapper for eating at the couch, obviously, but it would probably get a lot more use in the bedroom. Our bedroom is the largest room in our tiny dollhouse-sized apartment, so it’s often where we eat breakfast, late suppers, and it’s always where I spread out research texts and write. And Malinda’s idea to carry beading supplies on it is a great one!

A super-dot Lapper would get a lot of use here.

  • 395 Mary // Jun 5, 2009 at 7:47 am

You always show the coolest things! The one with the dots would be great to have breakfast in bed for my niece when she stays with me for long summer weekends.

I just made veggie egg scramble for my husband, who is in bed and really bummed to be sick on this rare sunny Sunday in SF. Could have really used this basketweave tray…as it were, he had to perch the plate on his knees and block the cat with an elbow while trying to eat…

  • 442 Alli // Jun 7, 2009 at 2:48 pm

Whoa these are so cool! I think I dig the chocolate and turquoise one best. The super stripes one looks pretty sweet as well.

I love the green one! I don’t eat food away from the table very often, but I have used trays to bring food in to any family member that is sick in bed, so I’d probably use it for that. Although, they are so nice that perhaps I’d have to give breakfast in bed a whirl!

  • 450 rasilla // Jun 7, 2009 at 8:17 pm

black&white seeing as black is my fav…
