Thank you for the beautiful pattern, Megan. I finished it in time for Christmas and it was a big hit. One question: is there anything to be done about the shedding? The cotton leaves white fibers clinging to everything. Is there some way to defuzz it?

Kim - I don't bother blocking cotton although you can if you want. I made this pattern ribbed on purpose so that the sides and ends would not curl. Best of luck!

Need some finishing advice. I'm a new knitter and I picked this pattern to make for my (very tall) son for Christmas. It's almost finished! So, do I wash and block it? Is that a necessary step, or is it good to go as soon as I cast off? I'm very excited about this project. The yarn is soooo soft. I know he'll like it.

For people interested, I love this yarn and looked it up on eBay. Someone there is selling tons of it for only about $13 per skein instead of almost $20 on the link above.

This is a great scarf. It's something even I can make. Is every row the K1 P1? I'm a new knitter and just want to make sure.
