I found out recently that my local organic butcher has fresh duck eggs.
My mom always gets fresh quail eggs for a particular dish she serves at our family’s chinese new year dinner, so I suspect they’re widely available in Asian grocers, but I could be wrong. The ones she gets are speckled and the shells are thin, so I imagine they might be quite difficult to blow out. They come in packs of 18, so you’d get a lot to practice on :P

I think we get UK Cadbury creme eggs in Canada. I haven’t done a taste comparison (and it’s been a while since I’ve had one,) but if I remember correctly from when I worked there, that’s the case.

I like the water beads. It is always nice seeing an option that doesn’t involve candy.

Jen – I didn’t get to try it before Easter, oops. I might as well start on next year right now at this pace.

Jen – I’m not certain but I think you do have the UK ones in Canada, I know that the Canadian mini-eggs are very different from the US ones we get.
