    I love the pinata cake. I think my husband loves jelly beans enough for this to be the next awesome cake idea.

    who’d have guessed you could just pick up the cake and roll it in sprinkles? though I imagine it helps that the cake is about as tall as it is wide.

    I have, however, surprised myself with how far I can tilt a frosted cake in order to coat the sides with chocolate shavings or nuts.

    Seanna Lea – I hope it worked out! I’d be afraid of candy shells getting soft inside cake, if left too long. I wonder if there is an ideal candy for this?

    Jen – I’m always surprised at how strong cakes can be! That said I tend to get too cavalier and break them in the most dramatic way possible :)
