3D Christmas Tree Gingerbread Cookies, an update

In my 3D Christmas Tree Gingerbread Cookies post last year I explained how to create your own version from an existing cookie cutter and I also offered a ready to go printable version that you could use. I wasn’t ever happy with that pattern so I’m updating it. The pages to print out are below, and they have been added to the original project as well.

I’ll be making these again (as soon as I have a working dishwasher, because ugh) and using royal icing and sanding sugar to decorate the branches instead, I think it’ll look far nicer.

A view overhead showing how the cookies fit together to make them stand up.

Click on each of these to view or download and print them.

Happy creating!

Thanks, they look so good I’ll have to give them a try.

Made the 3-d tree today, though I may have to redo one of the segments cause I was too anxious to transfer it to a rack BEFORE it had cooled enough and I cracked one side of the 1st segment. Maybe it will hold together when it cools if the other side is strong enough.

Luckily I saved enough dough to replace ONE of the segments.

Note to self: HASTE MAKES WASTE! :(

    Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you very much for sharing this pattern! I think it was your Halloween tree pattern that I used last year for my Halloween gingerbread house, & they were a wonderful addition to my creation!
