Your trip from Seattle to San Fran sounds amazing. I live in Portland and quite a few years ago took a trip down the 101 to San Fran with some friends in my old Volvo station wagon. It was fun and you’ll be hard pressed to find anything bad about it except for Garbersville, CA where we got stuck for two days because of a mud slide blocking the highway. If you see signs for that god-forsaken place, step on the gas and get passed it as fast as possible. In all seriousness though, Port Orford is a cute little town with some great food and the nicest little B&B (The Compass Rose) where Doug, the hubbie, makes amazing breakfasts and both he and Karen are so friendly! Plus, there are breathtaking beaches where you won’t see another soul around.

I could actually list quite a bit more but that was my number 1 on the list. If you’d like me to continue, please let me know.

Have a great trip! I can’t wait to read about it.
