I made that granola recipe from Orangette, and it is just so delicious, I highly recommend making a batch.

I didn’t see anyone mention this on Metafilter, so here’s my fav cookie with Scotch: Pepperidge Farm’s Bordeaux cookies. They’re thin and crispy and caramel-y and totally yummy with most Scotches. Maybe not with a super peaty iodine-y Islay, but most everything else is a go.

And thank you even more for the MeFi post on cookies to serve with Scotch. We’re going to do a whiskey/Scotch tasting party and I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what to do for dessert. There are some great ideas here.

The chocolate royal icing looks all kinds of awesome. I think that chocolate icing might be the way to go with this cookie idea I have for the weekend.
