DIY Surprise Lantern at Oh Happy Day. I love this simple and festive idea.

sewing 101: recycled paper basket | Design*Sponge. This is adorable and useful.

I’m doing a craft project and would like to install two red LEDs that are powered by a battery pack with an on/off switch. I would love your opinion-advice on what to buy and where to buy it. | Ask MetaFilter.

What a fantastic idea for a basket! Am kicking myself that I threw out some of that paper last week…husband was complaining that I will end up on Hoarders…

Gemma – I hear that, I tend to keep packing materials too long and then find a really great use for them the day after they’ve been recycled!

I love the chalkboard cheese plate. I would need to use the painters tape or I would make a mess of the painting though.

I made a mounted Rudolph head for Xmas and used a battery powered let light set from Ikea to light up his nose. I had to cut out some of the lights and reattach the wires, but it was super simple. (http://theambitiousprocrastinator.blogspot.com/2011/12/diy-mounted-rudolph-head.html) They don’t have them anymore, but I bet those year round Xmas stores might.
