What’s going on here? My site started ten years ago this month and to celebrate I’m giving away something each weekday. Because I like you.

Welcome to Wednesday and it’s giveaway: a Trourbadour Tote Bag in the color of your choice from Crystalyn Kae. This is an awesome bag, it can fit a laptop (up to a 15″ Macbook), has many useful interior pockets (go see the pictures), a zipper top, and a gathered design in front that allows you to stuff the bag should you need (it can hold a water bottle and a pair of shoes, I see possibilities here). I see Crystalyn Kae bags on the shoulders of girls wherever I go in Seattle, her Topstitch Hobo seems to be a favorite (at least from my highly unscientific pole of, well, my observations) and she always has a nice big booth at UCU (a big craft and handmade goods show here in Seattle that is worth traveling for). Crystalyn Kae bags are made from an embossed coated canvas which is lightweight and waterproof (necessary here) and it can even be thrown into the washer. The bags are all made by hand in the US and it’s very good construction (I have examined it), have comfortable handles, most of them are vegan (unless otherwise noted), and have perfectly chosen contrasting lining. One of her newest items is the Pleated Clutch and I think I have a crush on it.

Me? I have been trying my utmost to buy bags in bright colors since my wardrobe stubbornly, perhaps reliably, stays in the range of black to gray.     Am I wrong to think that an orange like that could function occasionally as a neutral? Maybe it’s the color on my screen. Anyway, I love it! Here’s hoping!

    Oooh… colors, always. I guess I tend toward neutrals/blacks in my clothing and rely on bags/accessories to add some ‘pop’ and personality.

    i used to like black pretty much exclusively for accesories of any kind. but living through new england winters for that last 10 years has made me rethinking my position on black accessories and now i mostly look for color, color, COLOR!

    I’m currently carrying a bright grass green bag which I love. Thought I would change it out for a neutral, but that hasn’t happened yet, so… COLOR!
