I bought a corded electric trimmer made by stihl. You have to go to a specialty shop to get that brand, but it is what the pros use and it had good ratings on consumer reports. It works great. I had considered a cordless, but was concerned about battery life/strength. Honestly, the cord is not really a hassle. I also have a corded electric mower for the same reasons. It is like using a vacuum.

We usually call them a week whacker. But I'm not sure if that is what they are called in stores.

I don't even know what a string trimmer is. I probably should, but we are operating our yarn on the power of vigorous raking and other tools that are completely manual (like the old fashion law mower). Our yard is huge too, so it is a work out to mow the lawn.

Finally I can help !! I closed the surprise egg with mini reese peanut butter cups. If opening is really large you can mash the cup down a bit then plug hole and best of all it makes an invisible stand so egg sits upright.
