Ah, wheatgrass! It is as close to instant garden gratification as you can get. HOWEVER. This year my Wheatgrass is emitting small bubbles of liquid from the tips of the grass. I haven’t searched thoroughly yet, but I can’t find a decent explanation anywhere…everyone is too busy trying to sell me juicers. Have you stumbled across anything else interesting and wheatgrass-related?

Seanna Lea – I would serve them in the shells too!

Susan – I’ve found golden syrup in my small-ish QFC down here at Beacon Hill. Larger QFCs have a small section of British items, you might check there as well, otherwise I think it would be in with the maple syrups, or maybe in the baking aisle with the corn syrup?

The cake baked in egg shells are lovely, but I would be tempted to serve them in shell. It looked like they were pre-shelled for the eaters after baking.
