Hi, I'm Megan. I live in Seattle with Scott. I make stuff and give you tutorials on how to make it too. I also keep track of what I'm up to and post links to good stuff from all over.
Lately I've been traveling to the UK, getting through the dark months by indulging in video games and experiencing life with a microwave after not having one for over a decade. You can also find me at Twitter, Flickr, Ravelry, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. More about me and all this.
New! I've just started writing over at Babble Voices, go see my stuff at Future Imperfect.
A Valentine's Day cracker filled with candy and tokens of love. Perfect because, after all, it takes two to open it.
Rainbow Cake: Cake with a rainbow pattern inside, made as a Leprechaun Trap Cake.
Polka dotted papier-mache Easter eggs to fill with candy, toys or secret notes.
Easter Surprise Eggs: Hollow eggs, colored brightly with food coloring and filled with small toys and candies. To get inside you need to crack the egg.
Chocolate Easter Surprise Eggs: Hollow eggs with an interior shell of dark and white chocolate then filled with candies. One need to break both the shell and the chocolate to reach the things inside.
A felt dahlia pin for your favorite mom, with a secret pocket for notes of appreciation.
Flower Pancakes: How to make pancakes that look like flowers, created for Mother's Day.
Car Kit for Father's Day, full of useful items (flashlight, handiwipes, tire gauge, sunscreen). Turns you favorite father into a ready for anything superhero.

AnEmily – Do you have a favorite brand? I usually use AmeriColor but this time I used Spectrum and found the colors sort of off. The yellow was tinged neon green and the red didn’t seem potent enough.

Yup, but there is more to it, all will be revealed. If it turns out in time. Which is looking doubtful at this point, to be honest :)

I’m excited to see it! I did a double rainbow for my daughter’s 2nd birthday. It came out great except I put it together upside down…

I usually use the Wilton gel food coloring, which I have used for everything from food to yarn dying. It works great!
