I'm amazed no one mentioned that just walking around Key West is a sight all its own. Chickens run amok on the streets and then there's the post by the "beach" that tells you you're 50 miles away from Cuba. Plus, pink cabs! If you linked to this because you're thinking of going, I highly suggest renting a scooter. It's the only fun way to travel around there, besides on foot.

Just be warned, do not go during Spring Break. It can be a college nightmare - unless that's what you're looking for.

As for Boston, please go to their version of Little Italy for me. Some of the best food I've ever had was in this teeny tiny kitchen right across the street from the famous bakery (sorry, I can't remember any of the names - but you'll know when you see them). Whatever you do, make sure you get the squid ink.

Thank you Seanna Lea! There are a couple of people who agree with you, maybe they are a local food-brick place? We have a few of those here, not good, really, but a staple.

I live in the Boston area, so I have to admit that I was interested in seeing what other people thought was good to recommend.

I saw Anna's Taqueria on the list and went, "No!" Anna's is a chain, and not even a good chain. When I went to one (I think it was at MIT), I wanted cheese on my vegetarian burrito and they used a slice of American. I definitely would nthing the walking. I have walked from Quincy (southern suburb) to Somerville (northern suburb) and it is all very doable. And if you get lost there is always a T nearby to help get your bearings or to cut your explorations short.
