These are adorable- is that to mean, cake underneath marzipan? I just finished a post about cleanups and emptying a new box of cake decorating supplies- all new to me. I also cook gluten/dairy free, and your post came up as a related article suggestion, so I came here to see- now I am getting excited to reward myself with some baking whenever I get my clogged kitchen sorted out. Pity me. Then pray for my soul. Everyone else does. :)

All hail Bakerella and her cake pops! Yeah you're right, it will really take a lot of patience to come out with her creations perfectly. I love, love, love the reindeer. :)

I have made cake pops before, but I've never made any of the decorated ones. Just boring ones dipped in chocolate (or naked). These look excellent!

OK, this is so exciting for me because:

#1 I've already purchased the ingredients and am planning to "borrow" Bakerella's cake pops for a Christmas Eve pot luck (so, so many thanks to Bakerella for sharing a free plan on her Web site since I've no money as yet to buy the book that I desire).

and #2 ... I immediately thought these looked like my family's traditional lucky pigs and pretty fruits (for once I see something on a web site and recognize it for what it is) (marzipan).

Also, though I'm not yet vegan myself, I'm so pleased to know that these fun pops can be made with vegan cakes as I have many friends who are, as I like to say, veganeers.
