we just went to Sakuma Brothers for our blueberry/tayberry picking! it’s in Skagit, so we spent the rest of the day driving along Chuckanut Drive, stopped in the cutest town called Edison where every store on their tiny block was more charming than the next – especially Breadfarm, Slough Foods and The Lucky Dumpster. then we went to Skagit River Ranch’s actual farm for a little tour, cooed over the baby goats and to buy the meat right off the land itself. finally, back to home to can our goods and bbq our meat! it was such a great day!

You are going to LOVE Din Tai Fung. When I go home to Los Angeles this and In’N’Out are my only automatic and completely necessary food outings. Soup dumplings are fun, but don’t let the novelty pull you away from trying everything else on the menu.

I didn’t know Ding Tai Fung was a chain until now, but we have one in Toronto, too.
