Father’s Day project for Holidash

Fathers Day car kit

My latest project is up over at Holidash! This time for Father’s Day, it’s a car kit full of useful things for your dad (or your favorite father) to keep in his glovebox. I’ve included things like a flashlight, pen, sunscreen, digital tire gauge, tissues, bandages, and disinfecting wipes. All stuff that will make dad into a well prepared superhero for any situation. I have full instructions on how to create the easy organizer with ideas on how to personalize it. I even provide the super dad logo if you’d like to use it.

I love that project. It looks like it would work well for carrying small things to the gym or for bathing supplies at a hotel.

Seanna Lea and Tina – Thank you both.

I have really been liking binding tapes as a way of finishing things. Turns out, I really hate hemming things. All of the recent skirts and slips I’ve made I’ve finished with bias tape and I’m really happy with how they’ve turned out.

To heck with dad, that looks like a great kit just to have in any car. If you have small children, just slip in a plastic sandwich bag with a first aid kit in it. The plastic baggy will keep liquid creams from leaking all over the place and with help keep items from drying out (as they tend to do if kept in the car for a long time).

Haha, yeah, my dad is already a ready-for-anything superhero: his car has its own pair of scissors. I like the inspiration though.

Great gift idea. You could also add a small scissors, screw driver and a measuring tape. Maybe even some office supplies like small stapler and paper clips. Thanks for the idea!

This is a great idea, expecially for my husband and his job. :) I may end up making a few for each of us, a kids version too! Thanks for this idea!
