Saw notmartha in a Twitter follow we were both in and realized I could not not get acquainted with your world.

I don’t know, though, things are looking pretty much perfect in Paris. Meanwhile, I’m making unholy hole-ridden scarves in Manhattan;-)

One day you’re making sausage balls. The next you’re in Paris. Enjoy! I’d recommend places to go, eat, see and do, but it’s been 18 years since I studied there. Dang I’m old. Don’t miss the pain au raisins. mmm. oh – and the Orangerie art gallery.

So jealous… we stayed at the Marais last year and found the restaurants at Rue Dupetit-Thouars to have excellent food, great service, and good value. The atmosphere is very friendly, cute, and cozy. Brunch at Cafe Creme is a must if you’re around on Sunday. There’s a brilliant little Italian café with fabulous home-cooked food VERY close to where you are, by the sound of it – Angela Caffè in the rue des Étouffes:

you two must walk around the quartier latin, and if the weather is as beautiful as you say, the Jardin Luxembourg is a must (not that you didn’t know that already). I went to a restaurant in the 5th named Au Pere Louis where i had an unbelievable cassoulet, and my friends also ate very well.

Ooohh! Have fun…..I wish I was in Paris. I had my first falafel there years ago. I love the crepes with sucre in the Latin Quarter too. Versailles is an incredible place to visit. It’s just outside of Paris.

Oh wow, I’m so jealous! I loved the views from Montmartre…last time I was there we had the happy accident of falling upon an artisan food festival! Goat cheese….yum. Have a blast!

you need to go to Marche St Pierre at Montmartre. it’s the fabric/sewing district of paris. i looooove it. and La Droguerie at 9 Rue du Jour in the 1st district. its an amazing craft shop with all kinds of wools and knitting supplies and buttons and beads (lots of beads) and tons of other stuff. definitely one of my favorite shops. and you need to have hot chocolate at Le Crillon at the place de la concorde. (a bit pricey but well worth it=) and eat macarons from la duree. and go shopping at place des vosges and rue des francs bourgeois. have fun!!!

Betty – Luckily most of today was sunny and warmer than expected, so we spent as much of it wandering around outdoors as we could.

Paola – We are in Marais, very close to the famous falafel place (and we keep seeing people wandering past with warm falafel). Today we walked to Notre Dame, over to the Louvre and through the Tuileries, then down Rue de Rivoli through Les Halles (ick), then home with stops for BHV, Muji and groceries. It was nice out so we didn’t want to spend time inside museums just yet.

Any suggestions on places to see and shop and eat are very welcome!
