This Thursday night at 7 p.m. Amy Karol (Angry Chicken) will be at The Quilting Loft to sign her book Bend The Rules With Fabric. I be there with that and her first book, Bend-The-Rules Sewing, in hand.

This weekend is the Urban Craft Uprising! Dec. 5th and 6th, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. So many of my favorites will be there:

Wednesday, Dec. 9th is the Anniversary Party for the Grassroots Business Association. We’ll be gathering at Vermillion to talk over the year that has passed, there will be cupcakes.

    I’m lucky enough to be visiting Seattle this weekend and can’t wait to get my book signed, go to Urban Craft Uprising, Trophy Cupcakes & all those yarn stores!

    The utterly unstoppable Punk Rock Flea Market returns to the
    Underground Events Center just in time for the holidays! On December
    5th, from noon to midnight, the Punk Rock Flea will rock your world
    and fill your recycled shopping tote! The Underground is at 2407 1st
    Ave. in Belltown. For those of you keeping track, this is PRFM #7!

    This is a full on flea market selling everything you can imagine,
    including records, clothing, furniture, computers, stereo equipment,
    housewares, haircuts, toys, videos, bicycles, bondage gear, tacos,
    falafels, vegan treats, skateboards, dog sweaters, political
    propaganda, information from non profit groups, books, art, baby
    stuff, tarot readings & whatever else we can fit into the space. Don’t
    let the name lead you to believe that we only welcome vendors selling
    punk records, clothes etc. The “Punk Rock” of the name refers as much
    to the DIY spirit of the event as it does to any particular music or

    I know there will be at least one table of crafty goodness made by Seattle’s banked track roller derby league: The Tilted Thunder Rail Birds :)

    If you’re visiting Seattle – the ferry ride over to Bainbridge is pretty lovely, too! :) Bainbridge Island is having their 3 day studio tour this Fri, Sat, and Sun!
