Black Canvas Dress – Lincoln Center. I love this dress from Shabby Apple. Via Chez Shoes. Shabby Apple makes dresses that cover a bit more skin, but are in no way unsexy. Nice.

I must have that dress. I love that. I’ve recently found myself loving dresses after a life of being a tomboy, but I have such a hard time finding some that are aren’t too long but still a nice length for work.

Thanks for the link love! That dress is one of my faves on that site. I keep promising myself a dress or two for my birthday, but I can’t decide which one or two to get. Sigh. Why isn’t “several” and option??

I use one of these that I got for my daughter. While her toothbrush handle is too big to fit in it, my brush fits perfectly! http://www.chocolatecakeclub.com/zooankisucup.html

I love the Melton Lova. It can be an alternative for medical lab coat. And it’ll be perfect to wear over a nursing scrub.

I think you may have just changed my life by introducing me to shabby apple. they are cheap. they have my size. AND THEIR SH*T IS CUTE!

I bought a Shabby Apple dress last year and am very disappointed in it. I put it in the wash, and it shrunk so badly I can’t wear it anymore. I think it’s odd that a cotton dress that cost me $80 wouldn’t handle a simple machine washing.

The fit was odd before I washed it as well. I’m not necessarily tiny (5’10”, 140lbs, size 8 jeans), and the size small was big on me. Just want to warn my fellow Not Martha readers!!

Thanks for the feedback Nancy. I have not tried any of their clothing, but I spotted it mentioned three separate places in the same week. Buyers beware!

I looked around at some of their other dresses, and they look fairly cute. I especially like the Dagny Taggart, because I’m currently reading Atlas Shrugged.
