A friend and I got out to the opening of the second location of Trophy Cupcakes here in Seattle last week. The new shop is charming and filled with cupcakes and delightful party favors, and located in a nice stretch of the U Village mall that has a courtyard with tables so you can sit outside and enjoy.
I got Pineapple (upside down cake style), Strawberry and Lemon, Peanut Butter and Chocolate and Triple Coconut. I think my favorite is the coconut.
I found some greeting cards made by Cakespy!
I love the amount of cupcake decorations they have, one of these is filled with Stormtrooper heads.
I love seeing all the perfect cupcakes standing in tidy rows.

That’s it! I’m visiting Seattle, stat! I know it’s a mere 2000 miles away, but I can walk that far for delicious looking cupcakes with stormtrooper heads!

I think the new location is adorable! I had been wondering how they would decorate such a small space, but they have somehow managed to make it have as much character and style as the larger Wallingford location.
Those Lemon Strawberry ones are just too pretty–like a ballerina’s tutu! I have got to get me one of those. I love the contrast of having those pretty cupcakes and the stormtrooper decorations.
Thank you for the sweet shout-out too! :-)

Gorgeous! But… how can a cupcake be an upside-down cake? Do they invert the cake into a new wrapper?

Lola – There is pineapple at the bottom of the cupcake, like a pineapple upside down cake before it’s inverted.

Cute. I love the ruffled frosting look. There are a couple of interesting cupcake shops in the area, but they tend to either the very clean elegant look or the fun and messy kid-friendly look.

How do they pipe the icing on the pink cupcakes?
They’re so adorable!

Just hit the new store today! Peanut butter and jelly cupcake strangely better than it sounds….I’m not in love with their buttercreams (too buttery, if it’s possible) but the pb and j icings were amazing! Jelly in the center of the cake too, yummm….I’ll be back. Very cute store. Love all the toppers, and they carry Snow and Graham products!
