anticipating:
Project Runway Season Five
The last one in New York, love it before it all changes. I’m with the Project Rungay boys – why did they release all the guests and challenges in advance this season? No fun spoiling the surprise. (I have not peeked.)
loving:
L’Oreal Bare Minerals Gentle Lip Conditioner
My previous favorite lip balm was changed and is now unbearably sweet, so this might just be my new favorite. We’re still in the getting to know you stages but it’s showing promise so far, no strong taste or smell, shiny but not too glossy.
eating:
Vicolo Corn Meal Pizza Crusts
These come in the freezer section of my local market. You take it straight out of the freezer, add pizza toppings (please allow me to suggest something in the olive oil/greens/sausage family of combinations) and put it in the oven, very easy. I think these will be a staple in our house.
using:
Neutrogena Sunblock Stick
Tiny enough to keep in my bag for those unexpected berry picking moments when I’ll want to double up on the SPF.
avoiding:
Peanut Butter M&Ms
I’m not normally a candy person but I’ve had a wicked M&M desire for weeks now. These are ok but the peanut flavor is inconsistent and every once in a while I get a strange taste. Oh well, they’re a colorful decoration at least.

Through a carefully controlled, in-depth office based study (if you count buying 3 bags of each and eating them all instead of our salads for lunch as scientific), we have determined that Reece’s pieces are way better that Peanut Butter M&Ms.

I love those corn meal crusts, but I have only been able to find them in Whole Foods … where do you get yours?

Wow, I didn’t even know they made sunscreen in a stick form. I am so going to grab one of those! Thanks!
And those cornmeal crusts look great! I think I am going to experiment and try to make some.

WTF? Why did they tell all the challenges and guests? Moving to Lifetime is going to ruin it. :(

cevec – I get mine at PCC Markets here in Seattle.

I love peanut butter m&m’s, and Reese’s Pieces, and anything with peanut butter, really.

I have the Neutrogena stick in my bag. I love the fact that I don’t have to worry about it spilling all over the place. Best idea ever!

I don’t want to be a Negative Nancy, but I thought you might appreciate the Skin Deep Cosmetic Database evaluation of the sunblock you’re using. It’s not as bad as others, but other Neutrogena products are kind of scary. :(

Have you tried the Wild Cherry dark chocolate M&Ms? YUM! I bet you’d like them, I think they had some in regular if you don’t like dark…

The dark chocolate peanut M&Ms are where it’s at. I just wish I could get the British Smarties on a regular basis. They are similar to M&Ms but have a slightly thicker candy shell, giving them a little more crunch.

It is sad that PR is giving all those spoilers, but there are many rumors of Bravo trying to kill the show :(

I have been using that stick for the last two summers, I think. Well, for a long time. I love it. I am in the southwest, with regular high UV days. I love that I can swipe it on my nose to save it from the reflection off of my sunglasses, or on the tops of my ears if I have my hair in a pony tail. I’ve even used it on my lips when I have left behind a lip protectant.
Never had any skin problems from it, and have never gotten a burn. Two huge pluses in my book.
(I also keep mine in my purse, but also keep one in my car’s air-conditioned glove box as a just in case.)

I’m so avoiding the whole spoiler thing on the Bravo site…why oh why would they ruin the fun of the surprise?

Thanks for the heads up on Project Runway. One of my favorite shows.

with the PB M&Ms just think “Partially Hydrogenated, Partially Hydrogenated”
i have a sever weakness for those M&Ms, the medium bags at target…yeah.

On lipglosses may i recommend you the LOccitane trio here: http://usa.loccitane.com/FO/Catalog/Product.aspx?prod=24KTMCRGL
I find them the best ones i have tried so far. The pack is rather pricey but the quality is worth.

The peanut butter M&Ms were always my favorite. I have had them in YEARS, though, so maybe the quality has gone downhill. For some reason I never liked peanut M&Ms and the plain I could take or leave, the peanut butter and almond ones were the best!

I know this sounds a bit much, but thank you SO much for recommending the L’Oreal conditioning lip balm- I had pretty much given up buying anything other than plain old chapstick because everything I bought was either too shiny, too gloopy or waaaay too pigmented (and often all of the above- argh!). Anyways, I LOVE how this feels on and the color and shine are just enough- I am seriously forever indebted! :)

Hi Megan,
I’m very interested in the Vicolo pizza crust. Cornmeal crusts are usually my preferred type, but are these gluten-free too?
Whole Foods actually had some gluten-free rice flour ready-made crusts that I found pretty tasty too.
thanks,
Michael

Michale – The regular corn meal crusts are not gluten-free, but they do have a wheat alternative shell made with spelt! The box does not say “gluten-free” though so you might want to do some more research:

Thanks Megan- the spelt and corn meal crust does sound good, but alas spelt has wheat and so is not gluten free…
Thanks though—
