I just made that warm, nutty quiona recipe last weekend. It was such a nice, hearty little breakfast. I didn't have agave, but honey was just the right substitute. hmmmmmm....

I have Knife Skills Illustrated and I looooooove it. Though I'm not left-handed, I really appreciate that they have every single skill illustrated for both righties and lefties.

Everyone: do yourself a favour and use a microplane grater for ginger. Trust me, I'm Chinese, and my mother and I have tried every gadget traditional and not for grating ginger, and the microplane is the best tool for this, just like it's the best tool for grating everything. If you haven't already tried on, you have to! it's so effortless you can zest a lemon rind after juicing it.

Not the finest one recommended for zest, but one of the courser ones works well for ginger, in my opinion. Ginger is too fibrous for the finest microplane.
