discount for RuMe bags at Delight.com
The winners of the RuMe bags giveaway last week have all claimed thier prizes, so if you didn't win Delight.com would like to soften the blow by offering a 15% Discount through May 15th (enough time for Mother's Day!) on your total order when you enter RuMeLove at checkout. You can choose from sets of three or six bags in Spring In New York or Silicon Valley styles.
You can read more about the RuMe bags at my previous entry, over at NOTCOT, and in the Delight store. But to sum up: they fold small enough to store in a purse or backpack, they are large and strong enough to hold a bottle of wine, a large weekly newspaper and lots of groceries, in addition to colorful and graphic prints they have a set of plain black or silver bags that are good for guys or minimalists.
A note on Envirosax, which I have mentioned here before and use myself. A friend from the UK was showing me her Envirosax bag this past weekend and it was a little bit different from the Envirosax bag I have. Her handles were shorter - meaning she couldn't hike it over a shoulder using only one arm (a feature I'm a bit too fanatical about), and the stitching at the bottom of her bag was coming loose despite it being fairly new. By contrast my Envirosax have held up well through some abuses. So, if you can you might want to inspect your Envirosax before you purchase them, there might have been some changes to them since they came out.

Someday I will win something. I found some nice looking bags here that I may try out. I currently use some I found at The Container Store.

I just received my second set of Envirosax. My first came from Delight back when you first wrote about them, and I am in the US.
These new ones are the exact same size/shape as my first set, with the same length straps. As for durability, I suppose time will tell, but my first set has held up amazingly, even after several gentle cycle machine washings.

Megan - Thank you so much for the report! I have to wonder if different countries are getting different bags since the company grew so fast -- I see Envirosax bags everywhere these days, including my tiny local grocery store and Urban Outfitters. Or perhaps the bags sold as a set are made in a different place than the bags sold individually.

*sigh* It's probably good that I didn't win. I have too many reusable bags as it is. I can't help it - coming home from grocery shopping is always like opening presents! (Chicobags & Envirosax)
My Envirosax have seen a little wear. I've poked holes in them by putting boxes inside. So far I've just patched the holes with fabric from an old umbrella.

My Envirosax split too! I used them for maybe a month and two of the bags fell apart completely. Not impressed. :( I guess I'll pop for these new bags and test my luck.

I use a self-packing tote that I found at The Container Store. It's by Riesenthal, is in a cute red floral pattern, and has put up with a lot of use and abuse for more than a year. It looks as good today as it did when I bought it.

Those are so much nicer than any I have seen around! So much nicer than my current Target zip up bag.
