So-- I frogged my other sweater, and have decided to follow you on the CPH. I learned how to do my 1st tubular cast-on, and this will also be my 1st cables!! Yea! So far, I am about 3 inches into the bottom back.
But, we'll see!

Now you're getting it! I've never been a perfectionist. I prefer to just enjoy the knitting hobby as long as the mistakes will not be noticeable. I am, however, quite capable of ripping back when required. Good for you!

Good for you for letting go of those little things that, as you say, won't be noticed in the final product, anyway. I've stalled on a bag I'm making, just because I dropped one of the 142 stitches somewhere along the way, and the ridiculous thing is that it's a *felted* bag and not. one. single. person will know the difference if I just make up the extra stitch now. Sigh. You've taught me, I'm going to JKTI and do a K1FB and soldier on. Phew. Feel much better now.

I love that close up photo of the cabling...

I'm intrigued as to why you just can't use a little row counter? Or am I missing something?

You're a slow knitter?? Jeez, I must be glacial.

I am knitting the CPH when I finish my current sweater. Thanks for pointing out the Ravelry errata - I finally got my invite last week.

Thank you for the update, and for inspiring me to relax about something that is supposed to be calming- I haven't yet been able to let go of even small mistakes. It makes for s.l.o.w. knitting.

i've only recently started knitting through small mistakes. it's pretty liberating. frogging large amounts of work , just for a tiny mistake, is pretty traumatic.
the cph is in the top 3 for sweaters i'd like to knit next. your progress reports may push it up to the top spot!
