I keep my iron plugged into a power strip that I've attached to the siding of my cutting table at a reasonable height. Then when I need to cut power to the iron, I simply switch off the power strip.

That's so funny about the kids at the libraries takin over the puters and playing World of War Craft. I worked at a library last summer and that's all those kids would do. What a dumb waste of time. :)
