Chuckanut is awesome. I'm on Whidbey and I always take Chuckanut, it's so much better than 5 to get to Bellingham. I need to make it down to Seattle more and check out some of those notable places.

I'm hoping that folks like Trabant will still be able to maintain their machines and will continue to enjoy them there. The fact that they won't be sold to the competition is disappointing, but I guess thats the way it works in business.

Seattlejo - I should specify that I'm upset that this might be the truth: "Howard Schultz didn't want his competitors using the Clovers, so he bought the company." -- over at Starbucks Gossip

I'm happy for the people who make the Clover - I'm happy that they have recognition of what they have built and that they are probably pretty well off because of this.

You know I have to respond right?

Starbucks and the clover thing is interesting. I wonder if they'll be able to ramp up production and make them cheaper? Or perhaps they'll just be able to use them to have people buy more expensive cups of coffee? Trabant got me to pay $3-7 for a cup of drip, while I know the cost was due to the blend, It shows what might be achievable in the right setting.
