    Hi there,

I’ve actually tried to contact you in the past via e-mail with no luck but it just dawned on me today to leave a comment. Duh. Anyway, as a fellow Seattle resident, I love your blog and following the inspiration you’ve given me I’ve decided to try one of my own. Please visit and tell me what you think

This is a first though so be sure to return in the future!

Durian! The taste still haunts me, and not in a good way.

The Unhappy Meals article is (I’m pretty sure) an excerpt from Michael Pollan’s book “The Omnivore’s Dilemma.” Cannot recommend this book highly enough!

My brother and I are both celiac. I instantly thought of him when I saw your BLT’s. Bacon makes everything better, and BLTs are one of the foods I miss since giving up wheat. I hope you keep the gluten-free suggestions coming.
    Thank you!!!

Whew! I read the first page of the Unhappy Meal article and when I got to bottom and realized there were 12 pages(!!) I figured I’d print it and read it later… There is no way I could finish reading an article that long online- my eyes would turn into raisins if I didn’t keel over and die first.

The first page was interesting though!
