Another good place to look up candidates' stand on various issues is Project Vote Smart - it's bipartisan, and it also lists voting records for elected officials.

Another great way of figuring out the Presidential Candidates is: http://www.vajoe.com/candidate_calculator.html

What I found helpful is not only did it list the issues and let you put a measure of importance on them but it explained what each issues is before you chose but it gives you detailed statements each side would believe. That way you don't just know what the subject is but there are 2 opposing "I believe..." statements and you can decide which follows your line of thinking. At the end it gives you a percentage of how much you follow each candidate.

I can't believe I'm prattling on so much about an election but it was so much easier than trying to wade through each candidates beliefs or what others were saying about them.

Forget the post on being nice, follow the link that refers to "Pastabagel"'s response and read about Mr. Rogers! wow! Probably the best thread I have ever read.

Zero Zero was the first salon I checked out when I moved here, solely because they are one of the few places in Seattle that carries Mop hair products (organic, good and very hard to find apparently). I didn't get a haircut there that day, but I did talk to the owner and he was ever so helpful and friendly and seemed like he honestly cared about hair. I always feel like if you love your job as much as this guy, then you must do it well.

I didn't have damage, but Aveda recomended their Damage Remedy Restructuring Shampoo & Conditioner for hair growth. I was growing my hair for locks of love and it was driving me crazy I wanted to cut it so bad. I don't have scientific proof that it worked, but I love Damange Remedy.

If you check out Zero Zero can you report back? I read the reviews on Yelp and it sounds good. I'm at the maintenance trim point with my hair and I hate getting my hair cut cuz it never looks good...Zero Zero sounds like they might be alright.

for BPAL help, check the forum linked on the sidebar menu. the recommendations and reviews sections will be of most excellent assistance.

and OMG The Peanut Butter Solution! LOL!

It's nigh impossible to get your hair to grow faster. You could try biotin supplements (a water soluble B-vitamin), and it's supposed to help, but it doesn't work for everyone. Your best bet is to make sure the hair you have is healthy and doesn't break off or split at the ends. Check out The Long Hair Community for help: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/

How do you choose at Black Phoenix?!! How?!!! I finally got around to checking it out and am overwhelmed. I love wonderful smells but have the worst trouble finding a perfume that fits me just right. Short of buying dozens of imp's ears, does anyone have advice about blends they have particularly loved?

And great heads up on the rotary candle holders, Megan. I have sent the website a request for retailers in Sweden - I suppose I should have asked for assistance here as well! Has anyone seen these particular ones here? I love the mistletoe one.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab is WONDERFUL. I just received an order for two imp packs (little sample sizes, 6 to a pack), and they threw in 5 free extras - they apparently always do that.

I cannot say enough great things about them - their oils are truly art.

If you want your hair to grow insanely fast you could always get pregnant. Not that I'd recommend it as a means to an end, I'm just saying.... My hair grew thick and fast every time I was pregnant. Of course, I also spent six months throwing up everything so it's not for the faint of heart.
