loving:
Flip video recorder
This little thing is super easy to use, the results are fantastic and it downloads video to your computer via a built in USB connector. The videos are already in Quicktime format ready to be watched or loaded to YouTube. It's brilliant, it's like the benevolent web gods have smiled upon us, it's like somebody loves you. It also comes in colors like orange and pink. Ok, I think I need to calm down a little bit.

cooking:
roasted chicken from Gluten-Free Girl
I've roasted chicken by stuffing a lemon in the cavity before, but this recipe was divine. Next I'm making the Roasted Cauliflower with Smoked Paprika and Cocoa Powder. Oh yum.

deciding:
on a Sigg water bottle
The little handle thing is just too convenient.

wanting:
Pomaire Yarn by Araucania
Pima cotton, hand painted. I'm very curious to touch this. Thanks for the note about it Heather!

sipping:
Stumptown Coffee
Holler Mountain Blend, so satisfying.

  1. Oooooh! I have a big crush on the Flip camera for a while now but I hadn't heard any reviews. Now I think I have to have one.

  2. I LOVE my Sigg. I just got it a few weeks ago. It is wonderful...well worth the money. One of the things I love most about it is the way the lip is designed; the size and shape keeps my lip gloss from building up all gross and unsanitary like. Also, my water stays crisp and cool longer. Love!

  3. I love my Sigg, too. :)

    Must have Flip.

  4. Interested in hearing more about the Sigg once you get it. I've been trying to decide upon one also, but have been unable to commit because I keep wondering if they really are *all that*.

  6. You may have answered my heartfelt filming prayers with your review of Flip! Thanks so much, Megan!

  7. Shelley - Read up on the specifics, it's actually Scott's purchase and I've only played around with it. I can tell you it comes with editing software that he has been using. And if all you want to do is put little videos on the web it appears to be the widely recommended gadget.

  8. My nephews love the Flip and my computer illiterate sister loves how easy it is to upload. The eight-year-old takes the most movies. Thankfully he has stopped pointing it at himself and running around the yard screaming. I don't really want to watch any more of those clips. But the guided tour of all the Halloween decorations in the house was very entertaining.

I didn't play around with the included software very much yet because the boys won't let me take my Flip home.

  9. My dad has had the Flip for a while now and he loves it! Definitely handy and with the flip out usb attachment, you don't even need cords!

  10. Thanks for the link on the Sigg! I've been in search of a new water bottle because I could never really get the plastic-y taste out of the one I had. I have yet to find one that i'm crazy about. I've bookmarked the Sigg link because I might have finally found one.
