Thanks to everybody who offered to swap food! I'll tackle it when I have some free time, but it looks like we'll be traveling to visit home in a few months... I hope 50/50 still exists somewhere!

Thanks so much for the link! And I love that "8 Foods You Should Eat Every Day" item, especially since none of them were weird things like algae. :)

I LOVE Stadium Mustard and completely took it for granted when I lived in Cleveland.
Fortunately, it's now available online:

I had roasted chickpeas at a NYC restaurant once last year and have been craving them ever since. They're instantly addictive. Thanks for the link to the recipe.

Thanks for the roasted chickpeas recipe, can't wait to try it. While in the grocery store a sweet old woman asked if I knew where the garbanzo beans were, I showed her to the chickpeas. She said she makes them into a paste and they make her liver spots disappear. The mighty bean!!

I would love to send out some cleveland specialties - let me know and you could be enjoying a nice hot dog (while it's still grilling weather!) and a nice refreshing 50/50.

It's the least I could do for all of the wonderful things I've found through your site!

Megan, seriously, thank you for linking to my site/recipe. You're fantastic. And now homemade maraschino cherries are on the list for holiday making, along with pickled baby carrots ala Tartine. NICE. You post fantastic stuff.

Ohio transplant here- northwest side now, but I went to grad school at Kent. I know stadium mustard, but what's 50/50?

Is this a dumb question? Just curious...

Cleveland girl here. I haven't thought about 50/50 in forever. :) And stadium mustard ... well, it's so good that we brought it to France with us to offer as a gift to some friends of ours. Adam's PB, you say? Hmm.

My 5 year old son needs to work on his fine motor skills, so I was going to by O shaped pasta for making 0 necklaces and pasta wreaths. Now I have something to eat with the left overs. Yum

I work in Kent, OH. It is interesting to read about Adams PB. I'm not a fan of Trader Joe's PB - is it like this? I eat a lot of Peanutbutter and still have not got through a small jar of Trader Joe's without it developing a bit of a taste to it.

I go to the Smucker's mega gift store in Orrville, OH every fall so I will look for Adams.

Stadium mustard - Yum - only way to eat a hotdog is with Stadium mustard on it.

I live in Ohio and I'd love to swap stadium mustard for Adam's PB. I don't know what 50/50 is but if I can get it I will. :)

I saw bacon salt at the Puyallup and wasnt too impressed. Sure if you are trying to give a Vegan/Kosher/Vegetarian/Halal person the flavor of bacony goodness it works. Otherwise I'd rather just use bacon. Why emulate the flavor of something when you can use the real thing?
