I enjoyed the new Thursday Next - but it's been so long since I read the last one I wish I had gone back and read it first, just to refresh my memory. It refers back to many events in the previous books, so it would be helpful.

I really enjoyed this series - the first book (Eyre Affair?) was just ok, but I'm glad I kept going - all the rest of them have been great - smart and funny!

I love love love Jasper Fforde, and have read everything he's written-and though I was suspicious of the nursery crimes series at first I got sucked in as well:) I just finished the latest, and though I thought it had a slow start the last bit of the book more than made up for it. I've been looking for other authors who are similar (is that even possible? Or at least similarly creative/crazy/transporting/compelling) and found Christopher Moore, and just read most of what he's written (I just read Fluke, and really liked it). Anyone know of other authors I should try? Thanks!

Third gen is the best.

It was just so simple, easy to use! Not to mention you could get them bigger than 2, 3 or 4 gigs, and smaller than 30 or 60, or whatever they've got now.

Mine is 15, and I love it. It's perfect. I don't even want a new one. A college kid resisting a new gadget? Impossible!

I just finished The Eyre Affair, and absolutely loved it. I only just found out about Jasper Fforde recently, and I'm eager to read more. Has anyone read the Nursery Crime series? Curious... Nice to see a Bookshelves Of Doom shout-out here, too. Love that blog!

Congratulations! iPod, iTunes - love them both. Don't forget to check out free podcasts on iTunes. I bought music there for months before I though to check out podcasts. Very cool! For example - you can get all of Bill Maher's Real TIme, RTE and BBC shows, how to's on almost everything all for free.

I Love my 3rd gen ipod! My husband got it for me for my birthday way back in 2003. I read in one of the Apple forums that some people say the 3rd gen is the best model because it has no moving parts (other than the hard drive). Newer models have click buttons, etc.

I actually bought a refub nano just for trips and to throw in my purse, but the older one (stays hooked up to stereo at home) is still my favorite and still going strong!

Heh. We actually have a first generation iPod. Rather, we did have one...it recently got stolen at a freelance job my husband took it to.

Ah well, we were long overdue for an upgrade, I'm just shocked the battery was still going strong.

I only like Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. He does nothing for me in any other movie. Same with the guy who played Aragorn (Viggo Mortenson?) in LOTR. Daniel Craig, though, he was a complete surprise to me. I think I might like anything he is in. What is your type?

I have to admit, I just don't find myself going crazy over Colin Firth. I mean, I get it, but Colin Firth isn't my type I guess. I suspect I might be the only girl who likes P&P who is not crazy over him, though.

iTunes rules - no more having to buy a whole album when you just want that one song...

Mmmm. Mr. Darcy. Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. *SIGH* Did you see her letter to Colin Firth? She's a recovering A&E Pride and Prejudice addict. LOL. I can totally relate to that.
