Ooh - I love the peg board. I think peg boards are so cool but we don't have any in our home yet. Well, we have a creepy one in the basement.
I made a bulletin board and marble thumbtacks (based on your tutorial). I bought a 12 x 12 picture frame, took out the goods and put in a 12 x 12 piece of cork. I covered it with fabric using glue and tacks in the back. I didn't do a tutorial but I have pictures here:

Re: the drain sweeper. We use good old fashioned baking soda and vinegar when our toilets and drains clog and it does the trick every time!
I do love the pegboard idea though!
