Not Martha

crafts and sewing

After seeing this great skirt that Laura at Busywork made, I want to buy Sew What Skirts. I love the way Laura mixed the Amy Butler fabric with a dark denim, very cool.

More on skirts – Thoughts (and Girly Things) made this fabulous skirt from a pair of jeans.

Pretty, pretty Parkhaus felt colors.

I really like the One For All shoulder bag pattern at Betsy Ross Patterns, seen at The Craft World.

Check out Leah Peah’s Trade A Craft site where you can trade finished crafts or materials. Things are just getting started, but how cool is this?

That is a really cute jean skirt! I like to make skirts from jeans. They’re great for cold Montana winters (I swear they’re warmer than jeans…kind of like the mittens/gloves debate). This is my latest: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bbenjamins/533464906/

I just checkout the book “Sew What Skirts” from the local library and I can’t wait to get started.

I just received the One for All Bag pattern from Betsy Ross in the mail today and I am super impressed with the super easy instructions that even the most beginner sewer can understand. The pattern also comes on really thick paper, so it will be easy to reuse the pattern. I likey!
