The other day Delight.com sold out of their offering of these cute and strong reusable Envirosax shopping bags so quickly they are getting them back in stock, and you can pre-order them here. I've carried a single green EZ Bag with me for about five years now so obviously I find it useful to have in my bag, but I have to admit the Envirosax set is much cuter. via Sheterrific, who offer a special code for 20% off when you enter the code "Shelterrific" at check out, neato.

I was one of the luckies who got these on the first round. Even though I'd been thinking about getting reusable bags for a while, I was actually worried these were an impulse buy. But one grocery trip erased all doubt: they have more capacity than the EZ bag I already owned; the designs are just beautiful; and the large handles are easy to throw over your shoulder, so you can carry them more comfortably (or just carry more). And I hadn't realized how good I'd feel carrying them: the checkstand folks and even fellow customers raved about how great they were, and when I came home there were no plastic or paper bags sitting in my kitchen, filling me with guilt.

The Container Store sells a cheap shopper bag too! & it's the only thing in that store that isn't overpriced!

Hee! When I first saw the photo I thought they were pretty little Hawaiian-print dickies. But bags are nice too. Can I wear them?

Hi there - can't remember if I've ever posted before, but I came for the craft tutorials (a couple of years ago) and stayed for the regular posts. Anyway, I looked up the Envirosax Web site and dug individual bags up at tikabou.com. Closed till Sunday and a little more to buy separately, but perhaps a good way to fix yourself up with some?
Personally, I see a new knitting bag in my future...

I started using a tote here in Japan about six weeks ago for my groceries. Japan is addicted to plastic bags and I got annoyed looks at first, but now my check-out folks know the drill. I reserved these cute bags so I can continue my new habit back in the States. Thanks!

Oooh they're so cute! But right now I'm pretty happy with my Telus bag--it's cute (the graphic is of a monkey peeking out from behind a bunch of bananas) and I got it for free!

But what are they made of? Are they biodegradable or recycleable? Are they made from a renewable resource? I have been re-using doubled up paper bags for years now. A double paper bag is free and can last for more than a year and when it is done, it can be recycled.

the container store has some cute bags with longer handles, the maker is reisenthel. it's nice there are more lightweight (and aesthetically appealing) options now, besides just canvas totes!

I love these, but since the beginning of the year, my TH and I have accumulated seven canvas or cordura bags from conferences that work really well.
We very much impress people with our meeting bag supply. I recycled or freecycled 64 of them last year!
They are not very exciting, but they are handy.
