Why can't they leave chocolate alone?
The only benefit is to the chocolate manufacturers, certainly not to its customers. The FDA is certainly not looking out for our interests. Leave a message for them and say leave our chocolate alone!

just in case our chocolate was already inferior to everyone else's. not that i don't eat it. when this cat and dog food recall happened i went to the fda's site to see what ingredients in pet food actually meant, for example, what can be called chicken...well...feathers, bones, beaks, whatever. i am going to start buying even more expensive organic food for them or doing a raw diet just so i can be sure i am not feeding them poison. sigh. i know, off topic.

No no no! Allow them to relax the definition of chocolate! That's the problem: the definition of chocolate in the States is too tight and so we miss out on some wonderful confectionary delights. Check my article HERE for the reasons I believe this is a good move by the FDA.

I left a comment. I guess those Russell Stover candies are going to taste even worse if this passes.

I'll stick with the Phinney St. Chocolates (the curry coconut milk chocoate is DIVINE!)

i hate that the chocolate manufacturers association is pushing to support cheap chocolate, but i hope the're still moving forward with promoting responsible farming in the cocoa industry.
