Update: this morning I saw another banner on Westlake Center proclaiming that the Daiso in downtown Seattle is Now Open. By the way, it's located in the basement level. Happy shopping!

Barrie - I don't know when the downtown one will open, it'll be at Westlake Center, the mall across the street from the downtown Macys. And a Lush store is opening in the same mall, I think just below the Daiso on street level.

Based on your recommendation, I went to the Daiso store in Alderwood this past Wednesday. Very interesting and, yes, entertaining. Bought all kinds of things.

oh my! (long time lurker here..) I happened to drive past the Daly City one on the way to my parent's house over the holidays. And what luck, it was opening day! So fun and filled with goodies I almost cried!

I'm pretty sure we're getting one of these in the mall up here in Bellingham, WA too. Or if not this then something very similar.
