powerless
This is a picture of the picture I took of the bread I was baking when our power went out Thursday night. The bread baked fine, we are super lucky and have our power back already, but we don't have internet at home (I'm at the library). It's awful boring.

I echo the ennui. We were disconnected from the world on Thursday night. Now that our power and internet is back, I feel complete!

Hope you get your internet back soon!The storm sounds like it was enormous, I've seen so many pictures of huge trees uprooted.

I can't imagine what it must be like to have no power in Seattle in the middle of December! I imagine that when you grow up in states that get cold in the winter, you learn to deal with it, but still....I was without power for several days in August here in Florida a couple of years ago, but I think it's a lot easier to take cold showers than it would be to try to keep warm when it's God knows how cold outside.
