Take a look at the Bulls-eyes egg dish for brunches at
American Homebody (Dec. 11th). You know you want to try one. They remind me of the baked egg dish at a lost restaurant in San Francisco called
Doidges. The baked eggs were wrapped in thick bacon, topped with pimento and were gooood. They had heavenly waffles and french toast, and you could substitute home fries with fresh ripe tomato slices, which were perfect. I miss the place still.

Nobody's Fool: Food Notes and Stories is having a holiday subscription sale. It is so very well worth it, and would, of course, make a great gift for the food lovers in your life. I almost missed the instructions for heavenly hot chocolate on the first page of the site!
