I finished the striped scarf! It's super long (I was going for the skinny scarf look) and very soft. Now I have to find some Bernat Illusion so I can start in on Kate's Topsecret sweater at Knitty. I think it will be the perfect first sweater. Anyone know where I could find some? I'm not having luck with Google when it comes to a combination of the color I want and the lack of a minimum order. Can it be found at a chain store like Michaels?

May I point you to Willa's Halloween Weblog? which always has good stuff. Digs Magazine had a feature recently on costumes. I have two costume ideas - one is being the black and white Dorothy (you know, before she gets to Oz). A little make-up intensive maybe, but would be fun. And the other drunken (I hope) idea was to get one of those clip-on shoulder parrots, some wire rim glasses, a carrier full of all sorts of strange stuffed animals, and go as Marc Morrone, with no offense intended, I totally love that guy.

I'm looking for blank band-aid tins. You know those hinge top tins which our Tweety Bird band-aids used to come in? (And may still I'm not sure.) I've tried the usual suspects and had no luck, not even Impress Rubber Stamps has 'em. I found one at Flax but just one.
