Real Simple magazine has some nice how-tos up on thier site this month – a girls’ guide – along with some nice garlic basics, a nice and very simply candle project, and they road test a whole bunch of face masks. They didn’t review my all time favorite el cheapo mask though – Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask for oily skin. It’s in drugstores, usually on the fringe of the area, on the bottom shelf or at the top. And I’m not the only fan.
This month’s magazine also has very very basic knitting instructions, which I’m loving. I’ve been trying to re-learn how to knit and have found myself frustrated. These intructions are clear and very well illustrated. I want a big loose knit scarf and I’m allergic to wool so most everything in the stores is unwearable for me. So I went out and bought size 15 (10mm) needles. I’ll let you know how it goes (or if I ever get it done). I’m thinking stripes.
